The United States Breaking Association and World Breaking Association have
established a series of Breaking Championships to form the USBA/WBA circuit.
The tournaments and events that are sanctioned as part of this circuit are host
to the specific “Breaking Championship” named for that event (more information
on current and available championships can be found on the “
Ratings
Information” page and “
Sanctioned
Events” page). The USBA/WBA assigns a championship name based on the
size of the event, its location, and its value to the USBA/WBA membership. The
only sanctioned events are those that are posted on the USBA website and
forwarded to USBA/WBA members.
The USBA/WBA keeps ratings on all competitors who are members. These ratings
are used for seeding at events and end of the year awards. Competitors earn
points ONLY at USBA/WBA sanctioned events. We promote all sanctioned events
equally to our members and associates through a variety of ways such as
websites, e-mails, flyers, etc.
If you are interested in hosting a USBA/WBA Championship at an event, please
contact us; there are many different options for hosting. We do require that
the founders, advisors, or an appointed representative be present to run the
event according to the guidelines set by the USBA/WBA. For the major
championships we require that the USBA/WBA founders be present to run the
event.
There are many options available to promoters of all size events to become part
of the USBA/WBA circuit, and we are always ready to work with those promoters
who want to bring greater standardization and professionalism to their event.
Please contact us for further details on how we can help bring the USBA/WBA to
your event!
